PRESENTATION

The IV Euro-American Congress of Human Kinetics – CEMH is scheduled for November 10, 11, 12 and 13 of 2010, in the facilities of Facultad de Humanidades of Universidad Austral de Chile (UACH) in the city of Valdivia, Chile.

The Euro-American Network of Human Kinetics – REMH, loyal to its attributions as determined by the founding Universities, makes possible the accomplishment of the annual Euro-American Congress of Human Kinetics that takes place in one of the American countries in the even years and in Europe the odd years.

In 2010, the fourth version of the Congress, as defined by the General Assembly in Congress III (Murcia/Spain), will take place in the city of Valdivia, Chile with the topic “Environment, Physical Activity, Ecology and Health”.

The Institutions organizing this event aim to identify and discuss the characteristics, qualities and existing conditions for the development of Sports as a means of professional intervention and as a means of enjoyment and preservation of health and nature.

The congress also has as objective to facilitate the information exchange and research divulgation carried out by the member Institutions of REMH, promoting the interaction among scientists, students and others interested.




• ACTIVITIES CHART

The IV Euro-American Congress of Human Kinetics – CEMH is scheduled for November 10, 11, 12 and 13 of 2010, in the facilities of Facultad de Humanidades of Universidad Austral de Chile in the city of Valdivia, Chile.

The CEMH will happen in three sections concurrently:

- Thematic Symposium
The experts and scientists appointed by the member Universities of REMH and/or invited by the Congress Scientific Committee will present their theme in:

• Conferences (lasting 45 minutes);
• Round-tables Meetings (with three participants, each with 20 min. for presentation and a final debate of 15 minutes – a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes);
• Theoretical and practical Workshops (with duration of 3 hours per day, 3 days of Congress, totaling 9 hours of lessons).

The participants should turn in the text of their presentation on or before June 30, 2010, consisting of a summary with up to 200 words and 12 pages (back and front) in Windows Word format, Times New Roman font, size 12, 1.5 line-spacing, A4 size paper, with 3cm top and bottom margins and 2.5cm lateral margins.

- Institutional Activities
This space is dedicated to the General Commission of REMH, with actions carried out concurrently with the Scientific Congress, according to the following schedule:

• NOV/10/2010 – Scientific Journals Development Program. It is designated to the journal editors of the member Universities of REMH (and others interested) with the participation of representatives of SciELO, SCOPUS, PubMed/MEDLINE and Web of Science/ISI;

• NOV/11/2010 – AEHESIS South America Project. It is designated to the representatives of ENSSEE, European Aid Cooperation, REMH and CONFEF;

• NOV/12/2010 – General Assembly of REMH. It is designated to the representatives of the member Universities of REMH (and others interested).

The participants should turn in the text of their presentation on or before June 30, 2009, consisting of a summary with up to 200 words and 12 pages (back and front) in Windows Word format, Times New Roman font, size 12, 1.5 line-spacing, A4 size paper, with 3cm top and bottom margins and 2.5cm lateral margins.

- Scientific Congress
Presentations of research and professional experiences reports carried out by students and professors of the member Universities of REMH, being presented in three ways:

A. OPEN SUBJECT – It is comprised of experiences or research reports, presented in posters, that will be exposed (lasting four hours) in five scientific sections in the designed locations of the Congress.

B. EXPERIENCES PRACTICES (Video presentation or practice) - Stories and experiences of practical experiences of students and teachers in their professional activity, presented in 10 minutes (video) or 20 minutes (lectures).

C. COMMUNICATIONS – The research reports submitted in this category and approved by the Scientific Committee will be presented orally in the session “Communications” of the Congress. The presentations will last 10 minutes. The debates will start at the end of each session.

• PUBLICATIONS

The following publications will be given to the participants:

Book “Environment, Physical Activity, Ecology and Health” – with the chapters elaborated by the representatives of the member Universities of REMH and edited in Spanish;

Booklet of the III Euro-American Congress of Human Kinetics - Consisting of the content presented in the “Thematic Symposium”, “Institutional Activities” and “Scientific Congress”.








• CERTIFICATES


The participation certificates will be held after the Closing Ceremony on November 13, 2009, only to the ones with full frequency to the Congress.

Certificates will also be given to all the presenters of: “Thematic Symposium”, “Institutional Activities” and “Scientific Congress”.
Once the presenters of “Thematic Symposium” and “Institutional Activities” are not remunerated for their presentations, they will receive a trophy of CEMH right after their presentation.






• DEADLINES AND GENERAL NORMS

• Deadline for sending the works: June 30, 2010.

- The works can be sent through the mail or in a CD-ROM with a printed copy or through the internet to the e-mail address: remh@redeuromh.com

- The summaries can be written in any of the official languages of The Fitness & Performance Journal: Portuguese, Spanish or English. The complete articles, according to standard norms must be written in any of the three languages.

- The open subject file must be sent as a Microsoft Word document, font Arial 12, single spacing, with the following format: Title in bold, with Capital letters aligned to the left, space of one line. The following line must have the author(s) and advisor(s)’s full name(s) in capital letters, aligned to the right. The next line must have the name of the Institution, city, state, country and the next line the email address. The name of the advisor must be the last one cited.

- Each of the authors registered and present at the presentation will receive the respective certificate. The certificates will be given right after the presentation of the works and the magazines sent to the available address, after the publication.

- The Academic Director Board of the event is not responsible for the opinions expressed in the works. They are entire responsibility of the author(s), advisor(s) and institutions.

- Omitted cases will be solved by the Organizational Committee of the Congress. The same reserves the right not to publish the works which are not in accordance with the norms cited above and exclude them from the presentations.
